Cookie & Analytics Notice
Last Updated: July 30, 2026
This notice explains how Vault Momento, LLC uses cookies, local storage, and usage analytics on the Vault website and apps, and the choices available to you. It supplements our Privacy Policy and Your Data page.
1. What We Use
Vault keeps its use of cookies and similar technologies deliberately small. We use:
• Strictly necessary cookies and local storage, to keep you signed in, remember your session, and protect against fraud and abuse
• Preference storage, to remember things like your view layout and sidebar state
• Service performance and error logging, so we can detect crashes and slow requests
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not sell your data, and we do not allow third party ad networks to track you across other websites.
2. Strictly Necessary
These cannot be turned off, because the Service will not work without them:
• Authentication tokens that keep you signed in between visits
• Security tokens that protect your account from forged requests
• Short lived storage used during uploads and checkout
These are set by Vault and by our authentication and payment providers.
3. Analytics
We use privacy conscious, aggregate analytics to understand how the Service is used, for example how many people visit a page, which features are used, and where errors occur.
Analytics data is used only to improve Vault. It is not used to build advertising profiles, it is not sold, and it is never combined with the contents of your photos, videos, or collections.
If we introduce a new analytics or measurement provider, we will update this page and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.
4. Payments
Our payment provider sets its own cookies during checkout to process your payment securely and to detect fraud. These are required to complete a purchase and are governed by that provider's own privacy policy.
5. Your Choices
You can control cookies and similar technologies in several ways:
• Browser settings let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and may break uploads and checkout.
• Device settings on phones and tablets let you limit tracking and reset advertising identifiers.
• Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected where applicable law requires it.
• Deleting your account removes the account data described in Your Data.

6. Installed App and Offline Storage
If you install Vault to your home screen or desktop, it stores a small amount of data locally so the app can start quickly and handle uploads reliably. Clearing your browser or site data removes that local storage and signs you out.
7. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice as the Service changes. If we make a material change, such as adding a new analytics provider, we will note it here and update the date above.
